Alekos Nikakis

Αlekos Nikakis worked as the chief conservator of the 24th Ephoreia of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities over many years. He is retired now. To his special abilities is due the conservation of a plethora of the most significant finds in Εastern Crete, both of Greek and foreign projects.  At Petras he has worked at the excavation of the hieroglyphic archive for the in-situ consolidation of the documents and also for their extremely demanding conservation in the lab. Ηe has also worked with M. Tsipopoulou at Kritsa and Halasmenos (excavations and consolidation of architectural remains).
