A Neopalatial Building

During rescue excavation works prior to the construction of the paths a part of a large rectangular tower-like projection, connected to a massive retaining wall, dated to the Neopalatial period came to light. Fragmentary remains of houses were also excavated in the surroundings. These finds, situated at a significant distance from the palace indicate how extensive the settlement was, and that it occupied most of the hill.
